Biking with Gayle

Today I went biking with Gayle Harrison, another Sea to Sea biker from London.  We started out when it was sunny and brisk but it soon warmed up.  We biked to Ingersoll and back, about 70 km. It was nice to have her company.

Presentation on Sunday

On Saturday afternoon we drove down to Wellandport, and what a glorious day it was. We stayed with Cora’s sister, Wenda Gerryts, who resides there.  We went out for supper with another of Cora’s sisters and her husband, John and Ineke Bouwers, and had a lovely evening together.  I gave a little presentation during the morning service at Riverside CRC. 

A coffee social was planned and I put up a display table with lots of info about the bike tour and the cause.  I had my bike there and the kids were all very interested in that.  Many of them said that if they were older it would be a cool thing to be part of.  My video arrived on Friday, so we played that and  that was helpful and many people watched it.  

People were very receptive and interested in the bike tour.  Some asked if I would be able to make this trip since I am not a young man anymore.  I assured them that I am up to the task and am looking forward to the tour.  The past two weeks I have been able to do a lot of biking and am enjoying it and the weather.
